The Board of Directors

The board is responsible for the overall governance of the Trust, including the Trusts’ policies, strategies, direction and future planning.

Malcolm was born in Hartlepool and remains a resident within the Trust’s area of benefit. He has 30 years experience at a senior level in community regeneration. He worked for 10 years as Executive Director of the £53M resident led NDC regeneration programme in Central Hartlepool. Malcolm also has voluntary experience as Chair of School Governors, Trustee of local charities and Parish Councillor

Dave has over 40 years of experience working in the Local Authority and became Former Chief Executive of Hartlepool Borough Council. He has recently retired from this role. He is also Chairman of the Board and Treasurer of West Hartlpool Rugby Club.

Mark has over 20 years experience as a qualified housing professional. He currently works at South Lakes Housing as Head of Development, but has worked as Head of Regeneration at Housing Hartlepool, part of Thirteen Group, for the last 5 years. Mark is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He has experience working for local authorities and subsequently a registered provider on housing policy, strategy development and regeneration programmes, including most recently leading on the redevelopment and renewal of long term empty property.

Mike lives in Hartlepool. He is a qualified accountant (CPFA) with significant Board level experience. Mike has financial management experience as a former Chief Finance Officer for Hartlepool Borough Council.  

Michael is the former principal of the Hartlepool College of Further Education, first joining as a lecturer in 1979 for economics, business and general studies, before rising up the ranks to eventually become principal in 2009. In those four decades, he has taught more 5,000 students. Michael has recently been a trustee for the North Tees and Hartlepool Trust, and is an executive in the Gus Robinson Foundation.

Mick started his career in 1977 as a Pricing Clerk at J T Atkinsons & Son, working his way to management level. In 2000 the company was sold to Builder Center and Mick continued his employment there until he joined MKM Hartlepool in 2008. Nowadays, Mick works with the NCS alongside other charities in the area.

Juli has worked with several local charities within the Hartlepool area. She has worked as an Advisor for the Wharton Trust and currently works as a Development Officer for Hartlepower Hub, establish and support VCS Groups in the local area.
